Arbitrum (ARB) has unveiled a significant initiative aimed at accelerating the Web3 gaming industry. The blockchain platform plans to distribute 225 million ARB tokens, valued at approximately $215 million, to game developers over the next three years through its newly launched Gaming Catalyst Program.

It aims to ensure that over 20% of Web3 games use Arbitrum, launch 25 new Orbits, and achieve the highest net migrations among layer-2 networks.
Grants of up to 500,000 ARB (approximately $483,000) will be available for new and early-stage developers. More established studios can apply for larger investments, potentially involving value-sharing components such as tokens or equity. The remaining funds will support infrastructure, bounties, and operational expenses to nurture Arbitrum’s gaming ecosystem.

It has funded a crypto-related film by an Oscar-winning filmmaker and partnered with Transient Labs to enhance the digital art experience on Arbitrum. TON has seen the proliferation of gaming projects, with several viral crypto games gaining popularity. TapSwap, a game where players earn TAP coins by tapping on digital icons, has become a viral sensation due to its focus on community engagement and interactive elements.
Another notable project on TON is StepN, a move-to-earn game that rewards players with tokens for exercising using NFT sneakers. The game has onboarded over 2,500 registered users and has a growing Telegram community.
